Information on the new Church and Heritage Centre
Re-zoning APPROVED
- Oakville Town Council passed By-law 2009-110 which adopted Official Plan Amendment 300 under Section 17 of the Planning Act, and passed Zoning Amendment By-law 2009-111, under Section 34 of the Planning Act, as amended on September 14, 2009.
- The purpose and effect of Official Plan Amendment 300 is to redesignate the lands at 300 and 312 River Oaks Boulevard from Arterial Commercial and Neighbourhood Commercial to Residential Low Density to permit a place of worship.
- The purpose and effect of Zoning Amendment By-law 2009-111 is to rezone the lands at 300 and 312 River Oaks Boulevard from C1 - Local Shopping Centre and C3A - Arterial Commercial to P/E - Public Use/Education to allow the development of the lands for a place of worship. The subject lands are located on the south-west corner of River Oaks Boulevard and Trafalgar Road. At this time there are no other applications, under the Act, pertaining to the subject land.
